Introduction
Our new Sentinel Ag+ showerhead and shower hose scheme incorporates our existing innovative, recyclable Challis Ag+ Showerhead alongside our new patented Sentinel ™ Shower Hose and has been specifically designed for Healthcare environments where 24/7 protection of patients and staff from the risk of legionella and pseudomonas is of primary importance
This new scheme means that only the shower heads need replacing quarterly, reducing the amount of PVC used and the overall cost to the consumer. More information on how our Sentinel™ products work can be found in our video above.
Benefits at a glance:
- Enhanced bacterial protection
- Reduced costs
- Reduced maintenance
- Reduced carbon footprint
The antimicrobial protection has been proven safe and effective, addressing the growing public concern over the incidence of harmful bacteria threatening us in everyday life. Proved to be highly effective against dangerous levels of bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Legionella pneumophila and Escherichia coli, guaranteeing long lasting protection, effective throughout the life of the product.
How the Sentinel Shower Scheme Works
Our WRAS approved hand held shower heads are manufactured in the UK from high quality ABS antimicrobial plastic. Because the showerheads have only been used for 3 months it is actually cost effective to recycle them at the end of each quarter.
The scheme is made up of the following:
Challis supply the appropriate number of Ag+ showerheads/hoses to the hospital/care home
Maintenance staff install new showerheads/hoses
Before the start of the second quarter new showerheads are delivered
Old colour coded showerheads are removed and replaced with new colour coded shower heads (the shower hose remains in place)
Old showerheads are 100% recyclable and can be disposed of with other non-hazardous plastic waste
Old shower hoses are collected at the end of the annual cycle when new ones are supplied for the year ahead
Costs associated with cleaning and maintenance of showers can be significant not only in cash terms but all in resources required. The Challis Ag+ recycling scheme is quick easy and straight forward to implement and will significantly cut these costs freeing up resources to be used more efficiently somewhere else within your organisation.
